All the mocking that Hillary Clinton’s pre-presidential launch listening tour has received so far is well deserved. Hillary has been on the campaign trail for herself or Bill for decades. She’s listened, literally, to thousands and thousands of Americans’ concerns.
The listening tour is a joke. It’s a gambit to hold Hillary up as “One of us.”It won’t work.
A majority of the American people don’t think she’s trustworthy. More pointedly, a majority of Iowans have an unfavorable view of Hillary.
And in a hilariously sad attempt to find some Hillary supporters in Iowa, committed liberal hack Ed Schultz took to the streets of the Hawkeye State and failed mightily.
“I was also on the ground in Norwalk, Iowa today and it became clear to me that Hillary Clinton has got some work to do with Iowa voters,” Schultz said Wednesday.“So Hillary’s in town. You got a smile on your face for that?” Schultz asked a woman.
“Not really,” the woman replied.
“Are you a Hillary fan?” Schultz asked laughing nervously.
“No,” the woman responded.
“You’re not?” Schultz pressed.“No,” the woman affirmed.
“What do you think of her?” Schultz asked of the woman.
“Um. Not much,” the woman said. “She’s liberal and I’m not going to vote for her.”
“No way you’d ever vote her? There’s nothing she could ever say that would change your mind in any way?” Schultz asked.
“Nope,” the woman said. “I don’t think she’d be good for the country. Yeah she says she fights for women and families, but . . . she advances her own agenda.”“Hillary still has some improving to do in the middle of the country,” Schultz said.
Yeah. That’s an understatement, Ed.
