• Mitt Romney: Clinton Uranium Deal ‘Looks Like Bribery’

There’s been wall-to-wall press coverage all week over the State Department and the Clinton Foundation and new revelations that Hillary Clinton approved of a huge uranium transfer to Russia in exchange for donations to the Clinton Foundation and speaking fees for Bill Clinton.

And in an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney said the Clinton Foundation Russian uranium deal “looks like bribery.”

“I was stunned by it,” Romney said Thursday. “There’s every appearance that Hillary Clinton was bribed to grease the sale of 20 percent of America’s uranium production to Russia, and then it was covered up by lying about a meeting at her home with the principle and by erasing emails.”

Romney was referencing the extensively detailed report from the New York Times that examines how massive donations from Canadian and Russian mining companies flowed into the Clinton Foundation while those corporations had relevant business before the Hillary-run State Department, to approve a transaction that would give control of a Wyoming uranium mine to Russia.

Some have said, including Romney, that Hillary Clinton could make this latest scandal go away if she just released the 30,000 emails she said she erased form the personal server she used to conduct official government business.

“I presume we might know for sure whether there was or was not bribery,” Romney said, if Hillary Clinton “had not wiped out thousands of emails.”

“This is a very, very serious series of facts and it looks like bribery,” Romney concluded.
