• Obama: Michelle Upset About Not Being Paid as First Lady

For the second time in as many days, President Obama has had the awful burden of sharing with the world the terrible circumstance that Michelle Obama finds herself in as first lady.

“Paying women the same as men for doing the same job, that’s not hard. That’s not hard. And it’s not a women’s issue,” Obama told a crowd today at a White House event on middle class economic policies.

“As I said yesterday, right now Michelle’s not getting paid anything. And she points that out,” Obama said. “But before we got to the White House, when she was working, I wanted her to get the same as a man did. Because if she is getting paid, that money accrued to our account. Just like her expenses accrued to our account. So this is a family issue. And obviously as a dad this is personal to me.”

It’s downright insulting for Obama to suggest that Michelle Obama’s lifestyle is anywhere closely comparable to that of a struggling single mother with two jobs. And yet, that’s what he’s trying to do.

Women being paid the same of amount as men for the same work isn’t even a policy that’s carried out in Obama’s own White House.

Michelle Obama is far from impoverishment. She and Barack live like royalty.

Their chefs prepare meals complete with caviar, quail eggs, rib-eye and chocolate-malted ganache. Those are hardly items you’d find on the average middle class American dinner table.

Michelle has a stylist. A staff that takes care of her every need. She doesn’t drive, and admittedly can’t wait to roll down the window and feel the breeze on her face.

Michelle’s Obama’s daughters attend one of the most expansive privates school’s in the country.

Sidwell Friends School’s $23,000 tuition is close to the median wage of an American’s yearly income.

When it’s time to party, Michelle Obama gets to wear $10,000 to $12,000 Carolina Herrera designer gowns.

    That’s hardly middle class, Michelle.

In fact, Michelle’s attire during the state dinner for the French president cost more than what the worldwide median annual household income is at $9,733.

    The Struggle is so real.

The Obamas are millionaires. Most of their wealth came for Barack’s book sales. Michelle and Barack and their daughters will never want for anything as long as they live. They will soon be adding to their millions on the speaking circuit when they exit the White House.

At this point, Obama just seems desperate and a bit pathetic trying to score political points by painting his wife as some poor struggling mom with no help and no hope.
