It was in December 2014 when Barack Obama unilaterally legislated away the U.S. embargo on Cuba, which is run by Communist thugs Raul and Fidel Castro.
That was the beginning of Obama’s grand plan to normalize diplomatic relations between the U.S. and the Communist regime. The reaction to Obama’s executive action from Cuban Americans in Miami’s Little Havana was one of utter anger.
There were “cries of assassin, accomplice, and coward–aimed at the President,” ABC’s Ross Polumbo reported live from the scene.
Polumbo called Little Havana the “epicenter of Cuban-American opinion.”
“He’s the worst President we have had in this country for many years,” one man shouted in response to Obama’s decision to order the restoration of full diplomatic relations with Cuba.
Now Obama has initiated the next step in his pursuit to bring Cuba back into the international community of Democratic nations. From US News:
This news comes less than one day after Senator Marco Rubio announced his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. The White House says President Barack Obama is removing Cuba from a list of state sponsors of terrorism, a key step in President Barack Obama’s bid to normalize relations between the two countries.
The White House says on Twitter that Obama has submitted to Congress required reports and certifications indicating his intent to take Cuba off the list.
Obama made the final decision following a State Department review of Cuba’s presence on the list.
“This entire policy shift announced today is based on an illusion, on a lie, the lie and the illusion that more commerce and access to money and goods will translate to political freedom for the Cuban people,” said Senator Marco Rubio, a Republican from Florida and whose Cuban parents fled from Fidel Castro’s murderous regime. “All this is going to do is give the Castro regime, which controls every aspect of Cuban life, the opportunity to manipulate these changes to perpetuate itself in power,” Rubio said in December.
It seems that more and more of America’s enemies are now becoming our friends.
