• WATCH: Montel Williams Breaks Down In Tears Over Marine Held Hostage In Iran

Talk show host and former Marine Montel Williams says he doesn’t care about the Iran nuclear negations, because the “pressure” should be on freeing US Marine Amir Hekmati from prison in Iran.

Hekmati “is being held as a prisoner of war because of what he did in Iraq. Let’s make sure Iran holds up to at least the Geneva Convention,” and allow the Red Cross to inspect Hekmati’s condition Williams said to Greta Van Susteren Thursday.

But even Montel finds it sad that US officials can’t even get proper medical treatment for a wrongfully imprisoned Marine.

“It’s not going to prove anything,” Williams said. “We don’t leave a solider behind, period,” a weeping  Montel Williams said.

US Marine Amir Hekmati has been held in an Iranian prison, accused of spying for the US, since 2011.

Montel Williams is urging the Obama administration to negotiate his release while they attempt to hammer out a nuke deal with the Iranian regime.

Now that an Iranian nuclear deal has been reached, the odds that Hekmati will be freed from his hell don’t look good.
