• Watch Sen. Pat Roberts’ ‘Let it Go’ Ringtone Interrupt a Committee Hearing

Have you ever forgotten to put your phone on silent before a meeting?

Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) was  in the middle of a Senate Finance Committee hearing Thursday, to discuss “Congress and U.S. Tariff Policy,” when his cellphone suddenly blared, “Let it go, Let it go…”

The 78-year-old Senator’s ring tone is none other than the signature song of the animated film “Frozen.”

“Aw, come on,” said the Republican from Kansas as the unmistakable Disney tune echoed through the chamber, drawing laughter from members and attendees in an otherwise silent room.

He fumbled for his phone to silence it, then joked, “Just let it go.”

The Kansas Senator’s  communications director said the ringtone is for his grand kids.

(Okay Senator, if you say so.)

The  senator’s official Twitter account tweeted afterwards, “Somebody had to tell the Obama Administration to let it go #forthegrand kids.
