• WATCH The Newest Trailer For Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Last April, we witnessed Darth Vader announce he’s running for president . . . of Ukraine. And last month, the world laughed when security camera video showed Darth Vader in a North Carolina bank toting a shotgun and pointing it at a clark.

The latest intergalactic news came Thursday with the release of the new Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens trailer which debuted at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, Calif.

The clip shows all the classic good guys and gal, Princess Leia—Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker—looking much older, for sure.

The film is scheduled to drop around Christmas 2015. It is sure to be a welcomed portrayal of the kind of battle between good vs. evil that has garnered generations of fans

It will also be a needed break for many politicos plunged deep into the not-so-exciting universe of presidential politics.

(To that end, Hillary Clinton was 30-years-old and married to Bill by the time the first Star Wars movie debuted in 1977).

Enjoy the highly anticipated trailer in the video above.
