• White House Won’t Say If Hillary Did Favors For Foundation Donors

The accusations of whether or not foreign donations made to Bill Clinton and his family’s Foundation heavily influenced decisions Hillary made while she served as Obama’s secretary of state, have made it’s way to Obama’s press secretary Josh Earnest.

In fact, when asked about new allegations raised in a forthcoming book, Clinton Cash, about whether Hillary Clinton gave special treatment to countries and organizations that donated to the Clinton Foundation Earnest flat-out refused to answer the question directly.

ABC NewsWhite House correspondent Jon Karl asked Earnest, “Can you assure us that there was absolutely no favorable treatment given to donors of the Clinton Foundation?”

“I’m not going to be in a position here where every time someone raises a spurious claim that I’m going to be the one to sit down here and say its not true,” Earnest said.

Schweizer and the TImes’ reporting even got the attention of Hillary Clinton, who did her best today to rebuff the wave of credible criticism and questions about corruption:

[I’ll be] subjected to all kinds of distractions and attacks, and I’m ready for that. I know that that comes, unfortunately, with the territory, it is I think worth noting that Republicans seem to be talking only about me. I don’t know what they’d talk about if I weren’t in the race.
