US intelligence agencies declassified the list of English-language texts that were recovered from Osama bin Laden’s Pakistan compound after the U.S. raid that killed the al-Qaeda leader in 2011.
The works on what the government calls “Bin Laden’s Bookshelf”, looked a lot like that of his leftist appeasers containing texts on how America is evil, imperialist and controlled by a handful of elites. The material, released Wednesday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, contained more than three dozen English-language works including work by leftist philosopher Noam Chomsky, former intelligence official and antiwar activist Michael Scheuer, conspiracy texts about 9/11 and the Illuminati, a book by Bob Woodward, materials covering conspiracy theories about Jews controlling the Federal Reserve and numerous materials about France’s economy, wage inequality and defense.
Left-wing radical Chomsky was apparently one of bin Laden’s favorites.
If you are what you read, Osama bin Laden was definitely a typical leftist redistributionist. There is even an outtake on video of bin Laden giving a speech on class warfare and the despotism of big money.
The newly declassified documents also include frightening letters urging backers to ready another spectacular attack on the US.
“The purpose is to focus on striking inside America and its interests abroad, especially oil producing countries, to agitate public opinion and to force US to withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq,” bin Laden wrote in July 2010 to a terrorist Atiyyah.Officials confirmed that the documents seized from the compound contained “some pornographic material,” but said it would not be released “due to the nature of their contents.”
