The allegations that Hillary Clinton traded favors for foreign entities while she was serving as Barack Obama’s secretary of state aren’t going away. And now the mainstream media is being forced to admit a number of unfortunate facts, including the broken promise Hillary made that she would disclose all foreign donations to her family’s charitable foundation.
“In the presidential race, Hillary Clinton is being dogged by new reports of undisclosed foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation,” CBS’ Scott Pelley reported Thursday night. These new reports are simply statements of fact.
In 2009, when Hillary was seeking Senate confirmation, she promised that she would disclose all foreign donations to her family foundation.
In the video above, Clinton says “All contributors will be disclosed.”
They were not.Hillary and Obama’s administration even came to an agreement, something called a memorandum of understanding, that spelled out specifically how and why Hillary Clinton needed to be transparent about all foreign donations. If foreign entities, governments or businesses, think they can buy influence with million dollar checks–that’s what they’ll do.
And it appears that that’s what happened at the State Department under Hillary’s watch.
From Bloomberg:
The scandal is so massive that it is now scaring Clinton Foundation donors away. With millions of dollars and 1,100 donors shrouded in mystery, CGEP has caught the attention of journalist and authors, including Peter Schweizer, whose forthcoming book, Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich, details Giustra’s financial relationship with Bill Clinton and posits nefarious intentions. The fact that the Clinton Foundation promised something that Giustra feels he can’t supply—the identity of his donors—has put him in an even worse spot.
Hillary hasn’t addressed any of these allegations directly, even though she’s been asked.
It’s a good thing this story isn’t going away any time soon.
