It’s a family full of con artists.
Dominique Sharpton, daughter of noted liberal charlatan and MSNBC host Al Sharpton, is suing New York City for $5 million. What for? She “severely” sprained her ankle, according to the New York Post.
The lawsuit filed by 29-year-old Sharpton states that she was “severely injured, bruised and wounded” when she stumbled on an uneven piece of pavement in New York City in October 2014.
Now I know what you’re probably thinking; that has got to be a bad injury.
Not exactly.
Dominique Sharpton is currently vacationing in Bali. How do I know that? Well that’s because the genius posted a mountaintop photo on her Instagram with the caption, “We hiked UP the mountain, over the clouds… into the SUNRISE… One of the most beautiful sites ever. And YES I ALMOST DIED GETTING UP THERE LOL #Balidays we made it, WHEW.”If you’re like me then you too must be wondering how the hell Dominique Sharpton went from having a “severely injured, bruised and wounded” ankle in October, to hiking up a friggin’ mountain, over the clouds no less, in May? But wait. There’s more. It would seem that Ms. Sharpton also went hiking last month, according to a picture see posted on Instagram:
Out here enjoying this mountain life! A photo posted by Dominique Sharpton (@mssharpton2u) on
That’s one tough ankle.
She’s also seen wearing high heel pumps last month:What makes this all look and feel like one big con job is the fact that in lawsuit Sharpton filed against the New York City Departments of Transportation and Environmental Protection, she claims that she “still suffers and will continue to suffer for some time physical pain and bodily injuries.”
The pictures above say otherwise.
However, suing New York City has paid off for some in the past. One woman, the Post notes, won a $2.25 million settlement after ankle surgery.
Al Sharpton, at least for his part, isn’t touching his daughter’s case with a 20-inch pole.“She’s 29 years old,” Sharpton told the Post. “Why would she have to talk to me about that? I just know that she was hurt and that she got a lawyer and she’s a grown woman. [Where] she goes from there, I have no idea.”
It would seem the lying to score a buck is a Sharpton family trait.
