• Geraldo: Black Lives Only Matter When White Cops Do the Killing

Even the most casual consumer of the news can tell that the media, so-called civil rights leaders, and politicians only seem to really care about a crime story if the shooter is a white cop and the victim is black.

Being just about fed up with that sick and twisted dynamic, Geraldo Rivera lodged his criticisms at the entire American civil rights establishment on Hannity.

Rivera was particularly disturbed by the news that all six police officers had been charged for the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray. The grand jury indictment came after a series of political handwringing by Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby.

Asserting that everyone from Obama to the civil rights leaders are all ignoring the miserably high rate of black-on-black crime in Baltimore while harkening on one tragic incident, Geraldo said, “Earlier today, Baltimore registered its 100th homicide this year. Baltimore has almost as many homicides as New York City. baltimore has 600,000 people; New York is 8.4 million.”

That’s “15 times the murder rate of New York, Baltimore is right now,” Geraldo said.

“I believe the Freddie Gray case will mark the decline into irrelevancy of the modern civil rights movement,” he added. “It seems that they are only interested — “black lives matter” — black lives matter only when they’re killed by cops, particularly white cops. Where is the outrage on the 100th baltimore citizen who’s been shot dead this year? There is none. And I think now you have the cops backing off. Arrests are plummeting. Baltimore will become a blood bath. It’s a killing zone.”

It’s sad but Geraldo’s words couldn’t be truer.
