  • Girl Scouts Now Welcome ‘Transgender’ Boys

    The 103 year old institution Girl Scouts of America (GSA) has succumb to pressure from the LGBT lobby, adapting its policies to extend membership to boys who identify now as girls.

    “If the child is recognized by the family and school/community as a girl and lives culturally as a girl, then Girl Scouts is an organization that can serve her in a setting that is both emotionally and physically safe,” The GSA website states.

    Girls participating in the scouts will now be obliged to recognize transgenderism as a normal lifestyle, critics say.

    The conservative American Family Association expressed its outrage about the new policy, accusing scout leaders of “losing their moral compass” and says this is a case of adults being “willing to experiment on our kids – both the boys who are confused and the girls who will wonder why a boy in a dress is in the bathroom with them.”

    “This means girls in the organization will be forced to recognize and accept transgenderism as a normal lifestyle,” the group said.  “Boys in skirts, boys in make-up and boys in tents will become a part of the program. This change will put young innocent girls at risk.”

    Penny Nance from Concerned Women for America called the decision “just one more slap in the face to Christian parents.”

    One Million Moms (OMM), the media watchdog arm of the AFA, is calling on its 70,000 members to sign a petition demanding that the Girl Scouts of America abandon its policy of admitting transgender girls into its ranks.

    Their petition reads:

    As a fellow American and one who admires what scouting has done for generations of young women and their communities, I urge you to rescind the GSA policy that allows transgender boys to become members. This policy undermines the trust that parents place in the GSA’s leadership to make wise decisions and the obligation the GSA has to protect their daughters.

    Please, stop listening to the few individuals who would use young boys as pawns in the culture war and destroy this organization in the process of advancing their social agenda.

    The GSA has the constitutional right to govern and restrict its youth membership only to biological girls…and for the sake of its future, it should.

    This isn’t the first time that the issue transgenderism has come up with Girl Scouts. Seven-year old Bobby Montoya, who was living as a girl, was allowed to join his local Girl Scout troop in Colorado in 2012.

    Pro-lifers launched a national cookie boycott last year after the Girl Scouts endorsed Wendy Davis, a pro-abortion candidate for governor of Texas.
