    The interview with NBC News that Bill Clinton did yesterday explained a few things.

    First, Bill Clinton’s attempt to defend his family foundation and the millions he made in speaking fees while his wife Hillary was secretary of state opened him up to scrutiny over comments he made about his capital gains.

    Bill said I’ve “taken almost no capital gains” over the last 15 years. Well, the New York Times explained that Bill Clinton was either lying about his tax information or he’s ignorant and was just making it all up.

    The second thing that was explained is that Bill’s exclusive interview with NBC put him ahead of his wife Hillary in terms of face time and answering the media’s questions about her family’s possible corruption.

    With his interview with NBC News in Nairobi over the weekend, Bill Clinton has now done more news interviews than Hillary Clinton since she announced her candidacy for the 2016 Democratic nomination three weeks ago.

    The third thing that was explained by Bill’s interview was pointed out last night by Late Night host Jimmy Fallon.

    “Bill Clinton was on the Today show this morning talking about staying out of the spotlight while Hillary runs,” Fallon said jokingly and struggling to finish his sentence.

    A clip showed Bill saying that he will continue to give speeches while Hillary campaigns because he has to “pay bills.”

    To that Fallon said, “It still doesn’t explain why he insisted on getting paid in ones.”

    BOOM! That explains a lot.
