Presidential election seasons are always sure to bring out truth bomb-throwing conservative candidates launching fearless rhetoric.
A massive truth bomb was lobbed Thursday at the 2015 Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Oklahoma, by former Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX).Perry, who’s been traveling the country for months since retiring from office, dedicated a large portion of his address criticizing Team Obama’s weakness on the world stage and the president’s persistent penchant for dividing up the country with his racist rhetoric.
Endorsing the idea that it’s time for America to change its leadership, Perry said, “America has entered a time of testing. We need a president who confronts the stark realities—provides leadership that transcends the petty partisanship that we have seen the last few years.”
Perry, who hasn’t officially announced his presidential bid, continued, saying, “We need a president who bridges the partisan divide rather that widens it, and who brings people together instead of separating us by class and by race or by creed.”
