There are so many fails, broken promises, and horror stories thanks to Obamacare.
That tacking the word “affordable” onto Obamacare would somehow magically translate as “free,” is chief among them. And it’s not even so much that more people are showing up at the emergency room because they are sicker. Obamacare’s subsidies, lower standards, and general expansion of government into medicine sucked millions more Americans into a healthcare system that was already short on healthcare providers.
According to a 2015 American College of Emergency Physicians poll of 2,099 emergency room doctors, 75 percent say ER visits have increased greatly or slightly.
That’s a far, far cry from what Obama promised voters back in 2012 when Obamacare was already being implemented. “We shouldn’t have people showing up at emergency rooms that we end up having to pay for, indirectly,” Obama said on May 14th, 2012. “Because we couldn’t give them preventive care.”
But that’s exactly what’s still happening, despite Obama’s best efforts.
After five years of implementation, higher premiums, longer emergency room visits, and less care the Obamacare scoreboard reads: Reality: 1,657,938 Obama: 0
