  • Brian Williams: I Didn’t Know I Was Lying

Sad News. Brian Williams is still lying to himself.

The disgraced former NBC Nightly News anchor finally admitted to and apologized for lying about news reports in order to make himself look good.

Williams started by admitting to TODAY host Matt Lauer the obvious,”I said things that weren’t true.”

“It had to have been ego that made me think I had to be sharper, funnier, quicker than anybody else,” he said.

After conducting a study over a period of more than 10 years, NBCUniversal concluded that Brian Williams had repeatedly lied about reporting and events from the Iraq War to Hurricane Katrina.

But then Williams started to backtrack and continued to attempt to create wiggle room for himself as if he didn’t know that he was stealing valor and lying to the American people.

“I told the story correctly for years, before I told it incorrectly,” Williams said. “I was not trying to mislead people, (and) that to me is a huge difference. It came from a bad place. It came from a sloppy choice of words. I told stories that were not true. Over the years, looking back, it is very clear I never intended to. It got mixed up, it got turned around, in my mind.”

Man. He still doesn’t get it. But his punishment is fitting.

Williams has been banished to hell. But more accurately, he’s been demoted and will now cover breaking news events at MSNBC.

Some wanted Brian Williams to go away. And now that he’ll be on MSNBC, the most unwatched new channel, those peoples’ wish has finally come true.
