Islamic State beheaded two women over the weekend accused of witchcraft and working with elves in eastern Syria.
Militants executed the accused alongside their husbands in Deir Ezzor province for breaking Islamic Sharia law by practicing sorcery, The Independent reported. One woman was killed in Deir Ezzor city and the other in Mayadin. Females are typically executed by firing squad or stoning and usually after accusations of adultery.
Islamic State killed 3,027 people in its territory in the past year, SOHR reported. The terror group declared the establishment of its so-called caliphate last summer, spanning Iraq and Syria. It has released numerous gruesome videos of executions and jihad camps for children.
