McDonald’s has effectively announced that it wishes to destroy its entire business model.
That’s basically what’s going to happen seeing as how the hamburger giant has hired former Obama Press Secretary Robert Gibbs to take on the job of Executive Vice President and Global Chief Communications Officer.If you can remember, Gibbs was Obama’s U.S. Senate communications director and served in that position before becoming a political consultant in 2011.
But Gibbs’ new gig is demanding that he radically shake things up at McDonald’s, which has been struggling to post good financial gains for several consecutive quarters.
“Robert and Silvia are both highly-respected, talented leaders who will bring a wealth of experience and outside perspective to McDonald’s as we build a more modern, progressive burger company,” said McDonald’s President and CEO Steve Easterbrook in a statement.
Easterbrook went on to say that he wants Gibbs to help restore “excitement to our business proposition,” instituting a “turnaround plan.”
This dude doesn’t know much about how progressivism works.The bigger problem with these liberal blowhards is that they don’t understand that people don’t go to McDonald’s for a progressive experience. People go to McDonald’s for good tasting food.
