• Obama Is Fundraising In Hollywood While Nation Grieves For Charleston

President Obama addressed the tragic massacre of nine people in a Charleston, South Carolina church on Thursday and then boarded Air Force One to California for a series of lavish fundraisers to benefit the Democrat party.

Obama attended a pair of extravagant fundraisers to benefit the Democratic National Committee and the DNC’s 2016 White House Victory Fund in Los Angeles on Thursday.

He traveled in the afternoon to the home of television producer Chuck Lorre for a $16,700-per-person “intimate, living room style” fundraiser to benefit the Victory Fund.

Obama then attended a fundraiser at the Beverly Hills home of actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry on Thursday evening. Tickets for the Perry event range from a base entrance fee of $2,500 to $33,400, the maximum allowable donation to a national party committee, for the chance to have dinner with Obama.

Comedian Marc Maron will interview President Obama for his popular podcast ‘WTF On Friday evening. Obama will then board Air Force One to San Francisco to attend the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

He will also, reportedly, attend an intimate $33,400 per ticket DNC fundraiser at the home of venture capitalist and Uber investor Shervin Pishevar while in San Francisco. Obama will also attend a $10,000 per person event hosted by billionaire environmentalist Tom Steyer.

Meanwhile, South Carolina and the rest of the nation are grieving for the devastating massacre of nine people at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston late Wednesday night.

Twenty-one year-old suspect Dylann Storm Roof was taken into custody late Thursday morning.

Obama addressed the shooting Thursday and called for more gun control, saying that the nation must “shift how we think about the issue of gun violence collectively.”

Three Republican presidential candidates announced Thursday that they had canceled campaign events in the wake of a mass shooting. Democrat presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, kept on campaigning.  She is attending a series of fundraisers on the West Coast, with events at the homes of Westfield Corp. co-CEO Peter Lowy, HBO executive Michael Lombardo and actor Tobey Maguire.

Vermont Democratic Sen. Bernie Sanders held a planned rally about pension benefits on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol Thursday afternoon, while members of Congress and their staff were holding a memorial observance to honor the nine people killed in the massacre.

Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Brendan Boyle and Ohio Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur joined Sanders at a podium for the union pensions event.

    Aren’t liberals so compassionate?
