Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro sparred with Inside Edition’s transgender reporter Zoey Tur during a segment of HLN’s Dr. Drew On Call last week.
Shapiro pointedly called Tur a “sir” during a panel discussion on Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner’s bogus Arthur Ashe Courage Award. Tur then threatened Shapiro and grabbed him by the neck.“You cut that out now,” Tur said, “or you’ll go home in an ambulance.”
That moment, and other alleged threats of physical violence that were made after the show, has prompted Shapiro to file a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department.
He claims that Tur said, “I’ll see you in the parking lot,” following the show’s taping. CNN security reportedly escorted Shapiro to his vehicle.
Shapiro also said has spoken with a detective at LAPD, and will pursue any possibility of charges regarding alleged criminal threats.
“Just because the left has designated someone a member of the victim class does not mean that that person gets to infringe the rights of others,” Shapiro said of his report. “Until the left learns that, their aggression will not stop.”Here’s Shapiro’s police report:
