• What Jimmy Carter Said About Jesus And Gay Marriage May Be His Dumbest Statement Yet

Former president Jimmy Carter is known for saying some insane things. Just last week we told about how he called America the most “warlike” country on earth.

In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, Carter, a former Baptist preacher, actually said that he believes Jesus would approve of gay marriage.

When Marc Lamont Hill asked Carter, “Would Jesus approve of gay marriage?” Carter agreed.

“I believe he would, I believe Jesus would. I don’t have any verse in scripture.

“I believe that Jesus would approve of gay marriage, but that’s just my own personal belief,” Carter said. “I think Jesus would approve of any love affair that was honest and sincere, and was not damaging to anyone else. And I don’t think that gay marriage damages anyone else.”

Sometimes I wonder what Jimmy Carter is smoking on. I listen to this guy and wonder what it is that the American people ever saw in him. There’s no wonder why he was overwhelmingly rejected after his failure of a first term in office.

And now I wish he’d stop talking about current events and just go away.
