• Chattanooga Gunman Joked About His Name Causing ‘National Security Alerts’

Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez shot and killed four marines and wounded three others at a gun free zone military installation in Chattanooga, TN, Thursday.

Abdulazeez was killed, but authorities did not elaborate on how he died. He was 24-years-old.

Abdulazeez is from Hixson, Tennessee, which is just a few miles across the river from Chattanooga. He attended the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga and graduated in 2012 with a degree in electrical engineering. He was booked for a DUI in April 2015.

He attended local Red Bank High School. He is a naturalized U.S. citizen from Kuwait.

Abdulazeez selected the following Hijabman quote for his high school yearbook, “My name causes national security alerts. What does yours do?”

Abdulazeez’s name was on a terrorwatch list and he had been flagged by the intelligence community for potential terror activity and there is a suspicion inside the intel community that Abdulazeez had ISIS connections.

His yearbook quote surfaced on social media shortly after the FBI identified him as the shooter who killed four Marines and injured a police officer.
