Report: ISIS Blew Up A Baby To Train Jihadis On Explosives

The Islamic State recently blew up a baby in a training exercise in the Iraqi province of Salahuddin, according to a security official.

Militants booby-trapped the baby and detonated it by remote control while dozens of Islamic State jihadis watched, Alsumaria reported. The terror group recently executed the baby’s civilian father in purported retaliation for killing an Islamic State member.

Sadiq al-Husseini, chairman of the security committee in the Diyala provincial council, told Alsumaria the brutal killing was part of Islamic State training on improvised explosive devices. It occurred at a camp near Sharqat, a city in northern Iraq.

Children are often featured in Islamic State propaganda to boost the shocking nature of its campaign. The terror group published videos of child executioners and of jihadi training camps for “cubs of the caliphate.”

The Islamic State captured Sharqat, a small city in northern Iran, during its widespread rampage in Iraq last summer.
