• Schools Giving 11-Year-Old Girls Birth Control Without Parental Consent

A troublesome program that gives middle and high school students at 13 Seattle public schools access to taxpayer-funded birth control is rightfully pissing off a lot of parents, most of whom were unaware and had given no consent.

Washington State officials have confirmed that 13 Seattle-area public high schools and middle school clinics are offering contraceptives, including IUDs and hormonal implants, to students basically behind their parents’ back.

“We have public health departments, community-based clinics, college and university clinics, pediatric clinics, private physician practices, and family planning clinics, like Planned Parenthood” as providers, Take Charge, the outfit running the birth control operation, said in an email.

A few years ago, Seattle school officials came under fire for offering abortions to 15-year-old students without parental consent.

And many of the contraceptives that are currently being offered to these minors have major and long-lasting side effects, such as uterine perforation and infection.

So why is there so much secrecy surrounding the implementation of these abortion drug programs? If the programs are beneficial and if the goal of educating youths about their options and the importance of safe sex is so important, why all the secrecy?

This is not about safe sex. This is just another sad example of creepy public officials teaming up with sex-crazed crony capitalists trying to make money anyway they can.
