• Stephen Colbert Interviews Eminem on Michigan Public Access

Future CBS Late Show host Stephen Colbert filled in as host of Only in Monroe, an actual public access cable television talk show in Monroe, Michigan for no apparent reason other than the fact that his Late Show theater is still under construction.

Th eMonroe Public Access Cable Television 41-minute program typically covers local events, such as fundraisers for the Red Cross and the United Way.

Colbert interviewed Marshall Mathers, AKA Eminem, who he introduced as a “local Michigander who is making a name for himself in the competitive world of music.”

Their conversation covered Eminem’s feelings about Will Smith and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, the meaning of “feat” on a rap song and why the rapper would want to hide “such a cute face” under a hoodie.

Eminem promoted the upcoming Jake Gyllenhaal film “Southpaw.” The rapper produced the movie and its soundtrack.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert will premiere on September 8th.
