• What Obama Says About Winning a Third Should Have Every American Worried

It’s cosmic irony that on the same day that a poll comes out showing that a whopping 59 percent of Americans describe Obama’s economy as poor, Barry is seen bragging about how he believes he could win a third term as president.

Obama’s timing is awful. That’s also how I would describe his speeches writers. They are at least partly to blame for Obama’s rant to the African Union Tuesday about how he’s been a “pretty good” president.

I get it. Presidential speech writers get paid to make Obama sound smart. They’re as bad at their jobs as he is at his own.

You see, Obama was trying to shame dictatorial African leaders who rarely leave office. Obama made that point, but only after rambling on about how awesome he thinks he is.

“Now, let me be honest with you,” Obama said. “I do not understand this. I am in my second term. It has been an extraordinary privilege for me to serve as the President of the United States. I cannot imagine a greater honor or a more interesting job. I love my work. But under our Constitution, I cannot run again. I actually think I’m a pretty good president,” he said. “I think if I ran, I could win. But I can’t. So there’s a lot that I’d like to do to keep America moving, but the law is the law.”

If Obama is really looking forward to life after the presidency, I encourage that he make us all happy and just leave office now.
