• While the U.S. Negotiates Nukes, You Won’t Believe What Day it is in Iran

Here’s a crazy and yet not surprising dichotomy.

In many ways, the American-led Iran nuke deal talks are seen as being dominated by the demands of Iranian strongmen. One reason for that is because the deadline for a deal has been passed and pushed back again and again.

And now as negotiators look to hash out a deal in Vienna over Iran’s nuclear program, thousands of anti-American protesters can be seen in the streets of Iran Friday burning flags and screaming death to America and death to Israel.

The occasion is called Quds (Jerusalem)Day. Established in 1979 by the Islamic Republic’s founder Ayatollah Khomeini, it’s now a day filled with American and Israeli flag burning and anti-American chants.

According to Iran’s Fars news agency, millions of protesters in “cities across the country” are celebrating and taking part in the protests.

Signs saying “Down with the U.S.” and “Down with Israel,” could be seen for miles.

So there’s really no reason for Obama to have John Kerry running around the world negotiating with these animals about a nuclear program. I’d take the Iranian leaders and their people at their word when they say they want death to America because a nuclear weapon seems like an easy way to achieve that radical goal.
