• As News Focuses On Murdered Va. Reporters, Hillary Slips In An Email Apology

Hillary Clinton finally took responsibility for her decision to use a private email server as secretary of state late Wednesday afternoon, conspicuously on the same day the murder of two journalists dominated the news cycle.

“I know the people have raised questions about my email use as secretary of state, and I understand why,” Clinton said at a campaign event, reported by The New York Times. “I get it. So here’s what I want the American people to know: My use of personal email was allowed by the State Department.”

“It clearly wasn’t the best choice,” she continued. “I should’ve used two emails: one personal, one for work.”

“I take responsibility for that decision,” she added. ” … I’m confident that this process will prove that I never sent, nor received, any email that was marked classified.”

The admission of responsibility is a marked change from her previous tone on the email scandal. She has tried a number of mostly failed tactics, including laughing it off, playing the victim card and blaming the whole thing on a “vast right-wing conspiracy.”

An FBI probe into the matter has found emails with classified information from the Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Fox News reported Tuesday.

The murder of two Virginia journalists by a disgruntled former coworker dominated the news cycle Wednesday. (RELATED: Content Warning: Coward Filmed Himself While Gunning Down reporters)
