• Man Killed His Ex-Girlfriend, But What He Said To Her Brother Will Chill You To The Bone

Terrible details have emerged in the death of a Houston family.

Police have charged David Conley, 48, for the murder of two adults and six children, one of whom was his own son, KHOU reports. The children were from 6 to 13 years old and all were executed with a shot to the head.

Conley had reportedly once lived in the home with his ex-girlfriend, who was one of the people he allegedly killed. The woman’s brother, Earl Yanske, was able to talk on the phone with Conley.

Yanske told the Houston Chronicle about the grim exchange.

“I need to ask you a question,” Yanske said. “Did you kill my sister?”

“He said, ‘Yes I did.’ It was like me asking if he went to the grocery store and he said, ‘Yeah.’ There was totally no emotion in his voice.”

Police surrounded the home Saturday and were in a standoff with Conley. They tried to bust in through the door but Conley opened fire so they retreated.

After more than an hour of negotiating, he finally agreed to surrender. When police went inside, they found the bodies scattered across three bedrooms, some of them handcuffed.

“The mass killing and the taking of the entire family are tragic realities our community has been forced to confront all too often,” Harris County Precinct 4 Assistant Chief Tim Cannon said. “We do not and cannot comprehend the motivation of an individual that would take the lives of so many innocent people.”

Conley, who was charged with three counts of capital murder, already had a warrant for aggravated assault. The investigation is ongoing.
