• REPORT: Navy to Charge Naval Officer Who Fired Back At Islamic Terrorist During Chattanooga Attack

According to several reports, the U.S. Navy is considering bringing charges against the Navel officer who fired gunshot back at the Islamic terrorist Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez during the Chattanooga attack.

Apparently, Navy Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White and another Marine were carrying weapons on them at the time of the attack. Federal law forbids the discharge of firearms on federal property, yes, even if you’re a member of the U.S. military.

The Navy Times was among the first news outlets to confirm reports that U.S. military members had traded rounds with the now-deceased terrorist before he took the lives of five officers.

Here are more details about the fire fight that took place:

A Navy officer and a Marine fired their sidearms hoping to kill or subdue the gunman who murdered five service members last week in Chattanooga, Tennessee, according to multiple military officials familiar with internal reporting on the tragedy.

It remains unclear whether either hit Muhammad Abdulazeez, who was shot and killed on July 16 after he gunned down four Marines and a sailor at the Navy Operational Support Center in Chattanooga. It’s also unclear why they were armed, as it is against Defense Department policy for anyone other than military police or law enforcement to carry weapons on federal property.

A report distributed among senior Navy leaders during the shooting’s aftermath said Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, the support center’s commanding officer, used his personal firearm to engage Abdulazeez, Navy Times confirmed with four separate sources. A Navy official also confirmed a Washington Post report indicating one of the slain Marines may have been carrying a 9mm Glock and possibly returned fire on the gunman.

So these men risked there lives by trading fire with this murderous scumbag, and now they could be charged for it?

“We asked the Navy, the Pentagon late last night,” said Fox News reporter Ed Henry, “might Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White face charges, and the Pentagon told us, quote, ‘Still looking at tons of data, so can’t completely rule anything out.”

It’s despicable that the Navy is even putting out the message that it’s possible that this soldier could face charges.
