Reading from the Bible of Liberalism Wednesday morning was former Clinton White House advisor Richard Socaride, who couldn’t help but preach the awfully predictable message that Republicans hate anybody who isn’t white.
It’s worth noting, first and foremost, that an overwhelming majority of the Democratic presidential candidates are white males.Nevertheless, Socaride had some racist points he needed to make.
“The issue the Republicans face is that every candidate seems to be against women,” the Clinton alumni said on CNN’s New Day. “Every candidate seems to be against everybody who’s not a white man.”
“I mean, the Republican Party has got this challenge in the primary,” he added.
Seriously?
The Democrats are clearly the whiter, more male force for the White House in 2016:That’s a bunch of white guys and one privileged white woman in Hillary Clinton–who, arguably, wouldn’t be where she is in life were it not for her white male husband’s accomplishments–running for president.
Furthermore, the 2016 Republican presidential candidates are more diverse than any major political party has been in many years.
In the top-tier are Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio. Carly Fiorina and Bobby Jindal round out the bottom-tier. That’s a black neurosurgeon, two Hispanic U.S. Senators, an Indian Governor, and a successful white female executive.
The last thing I want to do is write about the skin color and sex of a presidential candidate. But hacks need to be called out.If highlighting the hypocritical drivel being spewed by people like Richard Socaride is what needs to be done, then I’m going to do it.
