• Trump: How U.S. Treats Illegal Aliens Better Than Wounded Warriors

Donald Trump said Saturday that illegal immigrants are treated better than Wounded Warriors and veterans in America.

“Illegal immigrants, in many cases–not in all cases, but in many cases–are treated better than our veterans, who are the greatest people we have—our wounded warriors, these are the greatest people we have,” the GOP presidential front-runner said during his lengthy extemporaneous speech in Nashville at a National Federation of Republican Assemblies event.

He said he noticed illegal immigrants and DREAMERs protesting outside of the event.

“Coming over today I saw that they were having the illegal immigrants come in, and somebody mentioned the term ‘the Dreamers,’ and I said, what about our children?” Trump asked. “Why can’t our children that are in the country—why can’t they be the dreamers? Nobody ever talks about that.”

What about those who served in uniform, he asked.

“Nobody ever talks about them,” Trump added. “We talk about the DREAMERs—we talk about the veterans.”

Trump cited incidences of The Department of Veterans Affairs endangering veterans by forcing them to waiting months to see a doctor  and described some of the dreadful conditions veterans face just to access basic medical care.

“[Veterans] had the longest wait in the history of medical history of the Veterans administration for people wanting to see a doctor,” he said. “Remember the old days when the doctor used to come to your house? Those days don’t exist anymore. We are in the age of Obamacare where nothing exists.”

Trump, who won the straw poll that was held at the event, made a solemn promise that veterans would be treated like first-class citizens under a Trump administration.

He also vowed to win the Hispanic vote in the general election, saying that U.S.-born Hispanics and Hispanics who are in the country legally are also upset by illegal immigration.

His remarks about illegal immigrants begin at the 7:30 mark in the clip above.
