• Carly Fiorina Laughs Off Trump’s Attacks

The most-talked-about passage from Trump’s interview with Rolling Stone magazine, that came out on Wednesday, was a comment the GOP front-runner made about his rival Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina.

Trump was watching a newscast when a video clip zoomed in on Fiorina, the magazine’s writer Paul Solotaroff says.

“Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?” Trump said to Solotaroff. “Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?”

Trump added, “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly gave Fiorina the chance to respond to Trump’s crude remarks— remarks Trump maintained Thursday were taken out of context.

“Honestly, Megyn, I’m not going to spend a single cycle wondering what Donald Trump means,” Fiorina said in an interview on “The Kelly File.”

Fiorina told Kelly that Trump’s comments speak for themselves, and that the “many, many thousands” of supporters helping her climb in the polls are indeed “very serious.”

She said she had no idea what Trump’s point was in the personal attack, “but maybe, just maybe, I’m getting under his skin a little bit, because I am climbing in the polls.”

Trump responded Thursday on Fox & Friends, saying his comments in Rolling Stone were being misconstrued.

“I’m talking about persona. I’m not talking about looks,” Trump said. “Although when I get criticized about my hair… nobody does a story.

“The fact is, I probably did say something like that about Carly in a jocular manner,” he said. “She is at me constantly.”
