• Elizabeth Warren Taunts Ted Cruz to a ‘Fight’ Over Planned Parenthood

Sen. Elizabeth Warren took to Ted Cruz‘s home turf Sunday to taunt her U.S. Senate colleague

“We will not let Ted Cruz shut down this government over Planned Parenthood! He wants a fight over Planned Parenthood? My answer is, ‘Bring it on, Ted!’” Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, said during a speech in Austin, drawing loud applause.

Cruz is playing a starring role in the charge against Planned Parenthood, whose officials have been captured in a series of undercover videos that raise questions about its practice of letting patients donate fetal tissue for medical research. Planned Parenthood has denied any wrongdoing, but Cruz has not ruled out shutting down the federal government in pursuit of cutting off taxpayer dollars to what he calls an “ongoing criminal enterprise.”

Warren has been very vocal in her standing support of the Planned Parenthood  and has criticized members of Congress for wanting to defund the abortion giant. She recently conflated healthcare and the killing of unborn children.

“I want to say to my Republican colleagues; The era is 2015, not 1955 and not 1895,” Warren said on the Senate floor in August. “Women have lived through a world where backward looking ideologues tried to interfere with the basic health decisions made by a women and her doctor and we are NOT going back. Not now, not ever. The Republican plan to defund Planned Parenthood is a Republican plan to defund women’s healthcare.”

Warren also took a shot at GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump after hitting Cruz in Texad, slamming the real estate mogul for his hardline stance on illegal immigration.

“No matter what Donald Trump says, we believe that immigration makes this country strong,” Warren said.
