• Eugenics: Gowdy Grills Planned Parenthood President, She Admits She Supports Abortion by Gender, Race

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) addressed Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards during a congressional hearing on Tuesday and actually got her to admit she doesn’t have an issue with abortions being done to target race and gender.

“How about opposing abortion on the basis of gender or race, can you understand how people may support legislation to ban that,” Trowdy asked Richards during her testimony before the House Oversight Committee, which began investigating the organization after sting videos were released by the Center for Medical Progress, an anti-abortion group that allegedly showed Planned Parenthood executives discussing the sale of late-term aborted baby organs.

Richards said that Planned Parenthood trusted women “to make their decisions about their pregnancies.”

“I appreciate that people have a lot of different views on the issue of abortion,” she said. “Fundamentally at planned Parenthood we take the position that we trust women to make their decisions about their pregnancies. I have made my own decisions as well.”

    Gowdy cut her off.

“Ms. Richards, I appreciate the way you like to frame issue, that you are the reasonable one and those of us who had a contrary position or are not reasonable,” he said.

“I didn’t say that,” Richards objected.

That’s exactly the last answer you gave. Much like your people evolved to a more advanced view point. It’s like that comment was also directed to that.

Richards pushed back on Gowdy’s comment.

“Those are not the words I used,” she contended.

“It’s not always what you say,” Gowdy interrupted, “sometimes it’s just what you mean.”

The exchange comes at the 3 minute mark in the video above.
