• Morning Joe Rips Hillary’s Apology: ‘This Was a Hostage Video’

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s apology for using a personal email server on Wednesday, criticizing her as tone wooden and insincere.

Hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski pretended they hadn’t already seen the video of Clinton’s apology in an interview with ABC’s David Muir.

“I haven’t seen it, but it’s got to be really exciting,” Scarborough said facetiously.“It’s got to be massive, it’s got to be like the end of a dramatic movie.”

The control room then played the climatic ending of It’s a Wonderful Life, followed by Clinton’s apology.

Scarborough pretended to wipe away a tear.

“Hold on a second. Listen to how flat the voice is at the end,” Scarborough said. “Seriously, this was a hostage video, right?”

“Did they cut out the part where she says, ‘Okay, you happy now?’” asked Mike Barnicle.

Scarborough noted that the sincerity of Clinton’s apology was obscured by the fact that she had to be “dragged” to give it in the first place. “Kicking and screaming,” Bloomberg’s John Heilemann added.
