• Obama: My Vision Of Doomsday Global Warming In Alaska

President Barack Obama issued a stern warning on climate change at a conference in Anchorage, Alaska on Monday and then hiked on a melting Alaskan glacier.

He painted a harrowing image of entire nations submerged underwater and global conflict if the world doesn’t follows his lead by making sweeping cuts to greenhouse gases.

“Any leader willing to take a gamble on a future like that — any so-called leader that does not take this issue seriously or treats it like a joke — they’re not fit to lead,”Obama said .

He warned that climate change  is “not-deniable” and would damage the planet for the world’s children.

“If we do nothing to prevent glaciers from melting faster, and oceans from rising faster, and forests from burning faster, and storms from going stronger, we will condemn our children to a planet beyond their capacity to repair,” Obama said.

Environmental groups protested outside of the GLACIER Conference on Monday, in criticism of President Obama’s recent move to allow expanded oil drilling in the Arctic. Yet, many in Alaska want Obama to push for more drilling to help the state’s struggling economy.

Obama was welcomed to Alaska with a little batch of summer snow.
