  • Poll: 1 In 4 Democrats Support Biden For President

Despite Vice President Joe Biden justifiable and very public hesitation to join the 2016 presidential race, he is quickly gaining support in the polls.

According to a new Bloomberg survey, 25 percent of Democrats would like to see Biden in the White House.

Obama’s veep is trailing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, one considered a shoo-in for the nomination, by 8 percent. Bernie Sanders followed with 24 percent overall, while former Sen. Jim Webb came in at 2 percent, and Martin O’Malley trailed behind at 1 percent.

Biden said he is in no rush to make a decision and has been weighing wether it is the right decision after the death of his son, Beau Biden, 42, in May from a rare form of cancer.

The former first lady has dropped 10 points in favorability points since the last Bloomberg poll in April.

The Clinton camp might want to start taking a Biden run more seriously; at a recent gathering for the Priorities super PAC, Hillary’s campaign chair, John Posdesta, said it’s too late for Biden to pose a real threat to their campaign, Politico reports.

Prominent Democratic donors, including DNC national finance committee member John Maa, recently penned a letter to the veep urging him to run.

Biden could potentially wait until December to make a decision.
