  • What Trump’s 25% Support With Black Voters Means To Democrats

A SurveyUSA poll released Friday shows in a hypothetical matchup with Hillary Clinton, Trump is ahead 45% to 40%.

The poll finds 25 percent of black respondents say they would vote for Trump over Clinton.

This is impressive compared to the last several presidential results for Republicans. If Democrats lost 25% of the black vote they would lose Virginia, Florida, Ohio and North Carolina.

Mitt Romney was able to win over only 6 percent of the black vote, despite a sputtering economy that was impacting blacks the worst, when President Obama was running for re-election.

Republican received a mere 4 percent of the black vote when Obama was facing off against John McCain in 2008.

George W. Bush was running for re-election in 2004, received 11 percent of the black vote and 9 percent in 2000.

Trump would more than double the best result for a Republican in modern American history, according to the SurveyUSA poll.

The SurveyUSA poll finds 31 percent of Hispanics would vote for Trump.
