• What Trump Says About Kanye’s Run For President

The rapper with the world’s largest ego announced that he was going to run for president in 2020.

Yes, Kanye West made this statement after he admittedly finished “smoking something” during Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards.

GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump recently weighed in on West’s announcement in an interview with Rolling Stone and what he had to say was a little surprising.

“I said, ‘That’s very interesting. I wonder who gave him that idea,’” Trump said.

Trump expressed fondness for West and said he often hears comparisons made between himself and the pompous entertainer but he doesn’t “quite get it.”

“He’s said very good things about me, extremely positive things,” the business magnate said. “And he knows my daughter a little bit, Ivanka. And he said very good things about me. Very, very good things. Extremely positive things.”

West is not a bad guy, he said.

“He’s actually a different kind of person than people think. He’s a nice guy.” he added. “I hope to run against him someday.”

Kanye West actually attempting a run for the White House is an alarming nightmare scenario, yet an election with the two pop culture figures,  Trump and West, would probably have the most buzz and highest voter turnout of any in American history.

Trump told TMZ back in 2009 he wanted to boycott the rapper because of his incident with Taylor Swift at that year’s VMAs — but those days seem to be behind them now.
