• Congressional Candidate Reminds Us You Really Can Be Young, Female, Latina … and Conservative!

Surge Summary: Conservative Illinois Candidate for Congress Catalina Lauf shows the world that one doesn’t have to be a Leftist like Alexandria Ocasio Cortez to run as a young, female Latina.

A young conservative Latina from Illinois announced last week that she is running for Congress to take on the far-left and to lead a new generation of Republicans that will be relentless and uncompromising in protecting the freedoms guaranteed to Americans by the U.S. Constitution.

Catalina Lauf, 26, from Woodstock, Illinois, is a former Trump administration adviser who is running against Democrat Rep. Lauren Underwood in Illinois’ 14th Congressional District. If elected, Lauf will be the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, breaking the record set by socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in 2018.

“She’s a young Latina. She’s from Illinois.  She’s running for Congress.  And she’s the polar opposite of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” according to Law Enforcement Today.

She’s also a conservative who is smart and gorgeous much like Tomi Lahren, Kristen Tate, Liz Wheeler, Kimberly Guilfoyle and other conservative superstars. Lauf is a strong supporter of law enforcement officers.  Then she talks politics you can tell she actually loves America.  Her idol is Ronald Reagan; she’s not afraid to ruffle the feathers of the pompous and self-absorbed leftists who populate the government and the news media who have decided to drop the pretense of being fair and balanced.

Lauf, who gave interviews to a number of smaller news media outlets about her candidacy for the House of Representatives in 2020, announced her run last week in a campaign ad that took aim at the identity politics pushed by the Trump/GOP-hating news media and the equally vitriolic Democratic Party.

“My father is a small business owner who worked hard all of his life providing for his family,” Lauf said. “My mother is a legal immigrant from Guatemala who worked hard to escape poverty, corruption, [crime] and war to find freedom and opportunity here in the United States of America.”

“Some may say I don’t fit the mold, but I’m a product of the American Dream. Today we see that Dream under attack from the divisive far-left. I’m running for Congress to defend the promise of the American Dream,” she said.

In press releases sent to the National Association of Chiefs of Police (NACOP) and the American Federation of Police (AFP) she spoke about her sincere desire to make a real difference in the nation’s capital and to fight back against far-left members of Congress who are trying to destroy the Constitution and trying to turn America into a socialist nation.
