• Tlaib’s Call to a “Complete” Transformation of America Ought to Make Patriots’ Blood Run Cold

Surge Summary: When Leftist Rep. Rashida Tlaib heralds the message to “completely transform” America via “political revolution”, it ought to generate great concern among those who love America.

Maybe it’s because she was in the company of like-minded folks over at the Leftist rag The Nation, but Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib let her inner radical cut loose in a recent Tweet. Replying to a Saturday post of an interview she gave the magazine published on June 11 she wrote:

“We have to make the tough, courageous changes that completely transform a political and economic system that is now built for corporations (and profits), not people.

“Choosing the status quo means doing nothing and giving up.”

“We need a political revolution.” [Source: Craig Bannister/PJ Media]

    Completely transform”?

    “Political revolution”?

That kind of phraseology isn’t necessarily unheard of among Washington-types — but when found in the mouth of a big-government, social-justice-warrior, culturally Leftist, Progressive absolutist like Tlaib? It takes on a whole new depth of relevance — and chillingness.

She – and her allies in “The Squad” (Ilahn Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley) — have demonstrated their willingness to go as far as they’ll be allowed to go with their Statist/Marxist dreams. (Including clashing with their party’s leadership.)

I don’t for a minute put past this lawmaker a close-to-literal interpretation of her words: a complete transformation of America by way of “political revolution”. Her exhortation is simply taking Barack Obama’s 2008 pledge to “fundamentally transform the United States of America” to its next, logical and deleterious step.

Those of us who contend our nation needs to straighten up in lots of ways but still has lots to commend it, can only respond with a “Gulp!” — and resolution to resist Rep. Tlaib and her anti-American ilk with every ounce of determination we can muster.
