• A Confused Miley Cyrus Shows the World the Way NOT to Go …

Surge Summary: Poor, confused Miley Cyrus finds herself in some hot water for comments she recently has made about homosexuality and men in general. Of course, the next day the frazzled celeb backtracked, reminding us her chaotic example is not one to follow.

Be careful when attempting to access the steroidal calliope that is Miley Cyrus’ tumultuous life.

Case in point, Newser’s Evan Gastaldo reports, the twenty-six-year-old singer has a new boyfriend, and during a Sunday Instagram livestream with him, she ruffled some “woke” feathers, saying this to her female fans, per E!:

“Guys, I was being a little too, like … hardcore feminist vibes and, just like, I don’t know, not allowing anyone in, but now I am. There are good men out there, guys, don’t give up. You don’t have to be gay, there are good people with [penises] out there, you just gotta find them.”

USA Today passes along these additional comments from the provocative celebrity:

“I always thought I had to be gay ’cause I just thought, like, all guys were evil, but it’s not true. There are good people out there that just happen to have [penises]. I’ve only ever met one … and he’s on this Live.”

Well, as one would expect in the modern era, Cyrus’ comments aren’t going over well with some folks:

BuzzFeed rounds up some of the critical reactions, including this one: “Miley, this is so not it. Women don’t ‘have to be gay’ because they ‘can’t find a good person with a [penis]’. Don’t use the queer community as a stop-gap because you couldn’t find a boyfriend. People aren’t queer because they ‘gave up’ on men. This is so insulting.”

Others expressed surprise or wondered if she was joking …

Which isn’t an unreasonable reaction, especially considering her chaotic public image of the past few years.

Try to follow this: A teenage Cyrus once, boldly, characterized herself as a Bible-reading, Jesus-loving Christian, before almost violently repudiating that identity. She

came out as pansexual in 2015defined both her gender and her sexuality as fluid that same year, and once founded an organization to help LGBTQ+ youth. Earlier this year, she even told Vanity Fair and Elle that though she was married to Liam Hemsworth at the time, she still identified as queer. Cyrus and Hemsworth separated in August, after which Cyrus briefly dated another woman.

One day following her Instagram declaration, in her latest evolution – or devolution –, the plainly discombobulated entertainer ended up attempting to clarify her stance yet again.

TMZ updates, passing along this Cyrus tweet:

“I was talking s**t about sucky guys, but let me be clear, YOU don’t CHOOSE your sexuality. You are born as you are. It has always been my priority to protect the LGBTQ community I am a part of. Happy Monday!”

It’s practically schizophrenic stuff, heartbreaking, from a clearly troubled young woman who is putting on theatrical display one way NOT to conduct one’s life.

Honestly, Miley Cyrus needs our prayers. Let’s lift them up for her well-being.
