• Turning the Tables: GOP Leader Says Dem Rep. Adam Schiff Must Step Down from Intel Post

Surge Summary: As more and more troubling information about Democratic Trump-accuser Rep. Adam Schiff comes to light, Republican House Leader Kevin McCarthy demands Schiff be removed from the House Intelligence Community.

Gary Bauer passes along the New York Times reported that the so-called “whistleblower” – Bauer says “Deep State operative” would be a more accurate descriptor — went to the Democrat staff on the House Intelligence Committee in order to get advice before filing his complaint.

“This is a blatant violation of the whistleblower law,” charges Bauer.

This may explain [as conservative pundit Ben Shapiro also underscored last week] why, long before the complaint became public, Rep. Adam Schiff attacked the president with charges that were in the complaint.

More significantly, Schiff was asked two weeks ago whether he had ever communicated with the CIA operative who filed the complaint.  He said, “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.”  Mr. Schiff is perhaps the worst serial liar in Congress, and that’s saying something!

A Schiff aide “clarified” last night that Schiff’s “we” really meant the full House Intelligence Committee.  He had to say that because Schiff and his staff failed to inform the committee’s Republican members about what they knew.

In reaction to that bombshell, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy is now demanding Rep. Schiff be removed as chairman of the Intelligence Committee.

Schiff’s illicit advanced knowledge of the complaint – initially concealed form GOP lawmakers — and his “fake transcript” recited for public consumption last week are more evidence that this is more a show trial with the goal of weakening the president, than an impeachment proceeding. The president’s enemies hope to depress his supporters and guarantee a left-wing victory in 2020.

One other development: Fox News has received copies of affidavits from Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani about the former Ukrainian prosecutor who got the boot after Joe Biden complained about him.

In the affidavit, the former prosecutor alleges that he was told by the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine to handle the investigation of the natural gas company (that employed Biden’s son) “with white gloves,” which he understood to mean “do nothing.”

What an odoriferous mess. And this is consuming our Democratic lawmakers and liberal-leaning mainstream media?

Of course, while the Dems are fixated on this pointless distraction, they’re not fighting to raise taxes, fatten regulations or advance other Progressive wish-list kookiness. So I suppose one could contend there is some brightside to this controversy, after all.
