• Yes, There Really Is One! Coronavirus’ Silver Lining …

Surge Summary: Notwithstanding the awfulness of the current coronavirus scare, there are beneficial developments coming forth during this time. America is being stirred to return to many of the basic ideas that have made the nation great.

Dear People on the Left (i.e. most Democrats),

Most of the world has been sheltered in place for a month. While there is a great deal of suffering, I have bad news: Like what happens when an individual endures hardship, we are becoming better.

Here are some things happening as a result of this virus and the respective government reaction:

    Americans are:

    • Praying more
    • Playing board games instead of always having their noses in a screen
    • Watching favorite shows together
    • Creating arts and crafts
    • Walking more together
    • Having more sex which, if you weren’t aware, will lead to more babies
    • Cleaning our houses
    • Cooking more as a family
    • (via remote learning) Paying more attention to how our schools are indoctrinating our children
    • Appreciating what can be accomplished with a 10-minute call versus a one-hour meeting
    • Focusing on the destruction China has brought on the world, and insisting on “Made in America”
    • Acquiring an even greater distrust in government to solve our problems
    • More dedicated to their faith when we see how easily you call it “non-essential”
    • Prioritizing everything, and realizing there’s so much that doesn’t matter

The American family has always been the steel rod that is the backbone of American peace and strength here and throughout the world. Does it infuriate you to know the calamity of halting our economic engine and forcing us to shelter in only makes us grow? We can’t sit still forever, and there may be more and greater suffering ahead, but the American people hold within us the cellular memory of freedom and independence, earned by our forefathers. You have no idea how much we value the blessings of liberty, or how far we will go to preserve them. We are immensely resilient, and we will be a better nation.

In his book “Man’s Search for Meaning,” Viktor Frankl tells horrifying stories of how he and his fellow prisoners controlled nothing. When they could eat, what they could eat, when they could work, what they could wear, and so on – no single choice a human normally makes hundreds of times a day was theirs except for one: How they reacted to their circumstances. Not a single person can do this to another. Only we have mighty power.

I don’t know why you on the Left insist on controlling the lives of other people. Perhaps your lack of belief in God makes you believe you are God. It doesn’t matter. What you need to know is you’re going to lose.

    America will win.
