• Fiendish: Dems, Coronavirus and the War on Work and the Free Market

Surge Summary: America’s prosperity has been achieved significantly by its free-market system in which people work and are allowed to prosper from that work. Democrats seem opposed to that arrangement. The coronavirus pandemic has become an excuse for them to assault the nation’s capitalistic system, and the President has been going along with their efforts. That may be changing however; and the American people must insist it change and get back to living in the face of the COVID-19 challenge.

America‘s historical prosperity has been based on competitive, free-market Capitalism and national productivity.  While the majority may not get it — without it, the USA will gradually decline.

The prosperity of any nation is based on the collective, competitive, ongoing productivity of its free people, and competitive free enterprises.

Authoritarian regimes as advocated by the leftist Democrat Party favor centralized government and elitist control— which tends to undermine the American-Way and our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

America’s historical prosperity is no accident.  However, it is being eroded by power-hungry, self-serving elites, i.e., “Progressives.”

The Democrats are rejoicing over the national shutdown advocated by the Trump Administration and the Medical-Leftists in Trump’s taskforce. They seem to be mounting a veritable “War on Work” – as chronicled in this column.

After three years of failed effort to smear Trump and undermine his spectacular economy, the Dems have finally succeeded via the COVID-19 fears that have been instilled in the American people.  And Trump has allowed himself to be duped by the Medical-Socialists and Leftist Media – who have painted him into a corner from which there is no apparent return.

To his credit, the President recently tweeted:

Wall Street Journal’s Bill McGurn says many unemployed, free-enterprise recipients of Federal support — are also receiving additional support from other sources — resulting in total compensation exceeding their normal wages.  So they are naturally unwilling to go back to work for less money.  Clearly, a Socialistic government boo-boo.

The social-distancing rules will be the final nail in the Trump-economic coffin.  It will render arenas, leagues, theaters, restaurants, churches, conferences, hotels, rallies, cruises, airlines, etc. out of business – with hundreds of thousands left unemployed!  These industries are being permanently shut down by this ruling and will have a massive, negative, ripple effect leading to a full-blown depression.

Mandatory social-distancing must be IMMEDIATELY ended and left up to the discretion of individuals.   COVID-19 must be allowed to run its natural course — with victims treated immediately at the first sign of infection.  Despite the negative leanings of Anthony Fauci, Hydroxychloriquine medical treatments have been proven effective when applied early.  And even Fauci said that in 2005.  So it seems this should be our strategy going forward — along with the elimination of social-distancing.
