• Sigh … McEnany Details ‘Obamagate’ and Media Just Pretends Like She Didn’t

Surge Summary: In misrepresenting the details of the unfolding “Obamagate” scandal, the media continues to demonstrate why so many Americans simply refuse to trust them.

Not long ago I wrote about Harvard Law grad-turned-White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany and the downright undressing she gave the media activists using press briefings to grandstand and try to make headlines themselves:

These press briefings have become pointless stage shows for a hostile media to attempt “gotcha” questions, not to hold the powerful to account, but to elevate their own standing among their equally unserious peers.

As the video made clear, McEnany was not interested in playing along with that silly media charade. But unfortunately for them, they’ve done it for so long with such impunity that it’s become the only game they know how to play; so some poor sap tried it again. This time, instead of attacking the current Republican president, the press decided they needed to defend the past Democrat one. And it went about as well as the last time they tried to embarrass McEnany.

That seems pretty self-explanatory to me, but let’s lay it out. What President Trump is calling ObamaGate is a compilation of corruption and illegal activity that include, but is not limited to the following:

    • the Steele Dossier
    • FISA abuse
    • unmasking of Flynn
    • the Russia probe
    • exchanged FBI notes

Further, McEnany wisely put the onus back on the media – something that is becoming a favorite move of hers – saying it’s about time they start asking questions about those topics.

Still, with as patently clear as she defined ObamaGate, here were the first two featured headlines resulting from a Google search for “Kayleigh McEnany Obamagate”:

“Perhaps you should look into it”: Kayleigh McEnany dodges Obamagate question. The Guardian

“Trump Administration struggles to explain what’s criminal about ‘Obamagate.’” Forbes

I’d say that’s oddly convenient for Google to promote that inaccurate spin while burying the truth that McEnany just dismantled another member of the illustrious press. I’m sure it’s just a formula issue or an innocent, unintentional algorithim complexity. Nothing nefarious. Right?
