Surge Summary: Former NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden provide two more examples of the character of modern progressivism: It is a force for divisiveness in America.

If you want a “dark and divisive” image of America, look no further than the left’s leading spokesmen.
Colin Kaepernick denounced the Fourth of July as a “celebration of white supremacy.” Why any corporation (Nike and Disney, I mean you!) or any NFL team would want to be associated with that is beyond me. It speaks volumes about the rot in corporate America and professional (corporate) sports today.
And then there was Joe Biden’s Independence Day message. Newt Gingrich blasted Biden’s speech as “may be the most anti-American speech ever given by an American presidential candidate.”
Like most pessimistic progressives, Biden focused largely on the negative, declaring that America had a history of “systemic racism” against “the marginalized, the demonized, the isolated and the oppressed.” Of course, “President Biden” would save them all.
Keep in mind that Biden has been a fixture of the DC swamp for 47 years, eight of them as the vice president to the first black president. Can anyone name one thing the Obama/Biden Administration did for the marginalized, demonized, isolated and the oppressed?
In fact, they added to the ranks of people who would fit into those categories by hastening the destruction of middle America, selling out to China and sending our jobs there. Now Biden is going to rescue us?!
Meanwhile, one of his potential running mates admits she is “open-minded” about tearing down monuments to George Washington. I suspect all his running mates are.
The views here are those of the author and not necessarily Daily Surge.
