Surge Summary: When Democrats and Leftists lost the presidential race in 2016, they didn’t lay down and accept defeat – but immediately began planning their “resistance”. Whatever happens vis-à-vis the presidential race in 2020/2021, conservatives must be ready in the short and long term to continue to push constitutional ideas and oppose those ideas that are detrimental to America.

I believe there is a good chance that President Trump won the election. I believe there is serious evidence of voter fraud, and I believe it should be thoroughly investigated. I believe the elections should end on Election Day and that ballots not received by the legal deadline (by Election Day) should not count.
But I want you to know that regardless of how the legal wrangling turns out, I am not leaving this battle. There are too many important issues at stake.
I am meeting with and speaking to key conservative leaders today, plotting strategy for the short and long-term. (That’s why this will be a brief daily report.) One thing has been made painfully clear: Election integrity must be a major issue for conservatives at every level of office.
Perhaps some of you are feeling dispirited. I understand. But I urge you not to spend your time wallowing in defeat. We must resist the temptation to form circular firing squads. That’s not what Ronald Reagan did in 1976, and petty vindictiveness does not build up effective coalitions or win elections.
We live in a free country. There will be other elections including, of course, the two senate races in Georgia in the first week of January 2021. I am allocating more resources to those races today. In the meantime, there will be major battles over taxes, judges, religious liberty and a host of issues we can’t even anticipate right now.
After 2016, the radical left did not fold up and go away quietly. It immediately redoubled its efforts. Left-wing groups organized, raised money and registered voters, and that is precisely what we must do.
Will we be as tough and committed as they were? Or will we slink away demoralized and defeated?
I have already made my decision. I intend to fight!
I intend to do everything I can to save innocent unborn children and preserve religious liberty. I will defend free enterprise from the socialists who want to turn us into Europe. I will defend America from those who seek to “fundamentally transform” it.
I am going to continue this battle. I hope and pray I can continue to count on you to be with me.
